Buckinghamshire Adult Learning Adult Skills Fund
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning has funded us to deliver training to support adult learners aged 19+ for residents in Buckinghamshire.
Our fully funded courses for unemployed learners and employed learners earning less than £25,750 per year are for those aged 19 and over who are in receipt of a benefit from the Government or are looking for work, who have the right to live and work in the UK. There are some exemptions to these residency requirements and further information is available from our office (020 8748 9898).
Whichever course you undertake with us you will have the support of our Jobsearch team and our IAG qualified advisers to help you find work, both during your course and after you have completed it. We work closely with employers in Buckinghamshire particularly in the hospitality sector and Health and Social Care sector so achieving a job or other positive progression is within your grasp if you take one of our courses. Online ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) from Entry 3 to Level 2. These courses comprise an accredited certificate from City and Guilds in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. They are focused on the language needed to gain employment. Our courses start every Monday and typically last 15 weeks.
Functional Skills in English and Maths from Level 1 to Level 2. Gain an accredited qualification from City and Guilds to demonstrate your abilities in functional skills for employment, apprenticeship, traineeship or further learning. Courses typically last 8 weeks
Certificate in the Adult Social Care Level 2 qualifications. Gain an accredited certificate from NCFE to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of Health and Social Care – a necessary requirement for any job! Courses are delivered by a remote learning and involve the completion of Assessment books to the required standard. A good level of English is needed – a minimum of L1
