Adult Education Budget
We hold direct funding from the Department for Education to deliver training to support adult learners aged 19+
Our fully funded courses for unemployed learners and employed learners earning less than £20,962 pa are for those aged 19 and over who are in receipt of a benefit from the Government, who have the right to live and work in the UK and who have been resident in the UK or another EU country for three years. There are some exemptions to these residency requirements and further information is available from our office (020 8748 9898).
Our referrals come principally from Jobcentre Plus. If you are interested in one or more of the courses listed below, speak to your Work Coach and we will arrange with them a referral to our next available course. Whichever course you undertake with us you will have the support of our Jobsearch team and our IAG qualified advisers to help you find work, both during your course and after you have completed it. We work closely with employers in West London – Delete particularly in the hospitality sector and at the airport – so achieving a job or other positive progression is within your grasp if you take one of our courses. In depth initial and ongoing Information Advice and Guidance is available on all programmes
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) from Below Entry to Level 2. These courses comprise an accredited certificate from City and Guilds in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. They are focused on the language needed to gain employment. Our courses start every Monday and typically last 18-20 weeks.
Functional Skills in English and Maths from Entry 1 to Level 2. Gain an accredited qualification from City and Guilds to demonstrate your abilities in functional skills for employment, apprenticeship, traineeship or further learning. Courses typically last 8 weeks
Certificate in the Principles of Customer Service Level 2. Gain an accredited certificate from NCFE to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of customer service – a necessary requirement for any job! Courses last are delivered by a remote learning platform and involve the completion of Assessment books to the required standard. A good level of English is needed – a minimum of L1
